Lets hope there aren't any more mishaps in the nest.

Conditions today,
high winds

and high temperatures reaching into the 90 's

Thats incredably sad!

It could be alive, though the problem is that it's not responding well. I wouldn't be surprised if it were dead.. maybe the mother is just giving it a chance?

Aww, poor babies. :< I can see the two remaining squished up against mom.

If there are only two left, does that mean the remaining babies will be fed better? (Getting the food that would have gone to the others.) Or will she bring less food to the nest?

We are trying to figure it out.

Yes there are snakes.
There are cats.
There are Raccoons.
There are bird predators.

Maybe someone watching will saw something, or will see something.

Warning, This is very sad. Sad
I watched the video recording and it looked like bird #3 was smaller and weaker. It wasn't getting food. Then it tipped over and closed its eyes and it never got up again.

That is a shame to hear. D:
However that is life unfortunately, which isn't very pleasant or giving to some.

Was watching tonight and bird #2 isn't eating.
This isn't good.
Something is wrong.
I wonder if there is a disease or something?

Looked this morning first thing and baby #2 was dead.
I cleaned out the nest and the only dead baby I found was #2. (where did #3 and #4 go? the mother cleaned them out?)
Wanted to make sure that the last surviving one didn't get sick from dead babies in the nest.

Temperatures yesterday were unseasonably cool, low 80's
So the heat shouldn't be getting to them.
Over all conditions couldn't be better.
There have been others like the blue birds that used that house in prior years no problems.

I just don't know what is wrong.
Lets cross our fingers for this last baby.

If this baby survives I want to call him/her Chuck Norris!
I guess she did clean them out.. it must be hard for a mother to clean out her own babies. ):
I wonder if they are getting sick, but it's really hard to tell. The mother seems very passionate about her babies, though.
