At school we saw some strange birds, they look like they've been through a storm! One had a rupid up wing and another with a crumpled up beak, of course we saved them and nursed them back to health I was sad because it was a fluffy (sparrow)

What country do you live in Zelda?

I never really take pictures of birds, I guess they're too common.

Yes they are commen I live in the USA Im fifteen and I found my own hobbie in these past few weeks. I take photos of local wildlife most of which are backyard birds. In fact those who do not like school hear this. I never would have found this little new hobbie of mine if I did not take the photography class this school year as a freshmen in highschool. I think i may be pretty good at it to. I even found a simple way to atract backyar birds for photos. bread. Take some bread and just put in the yard. backyard birds come for an easy meal and I take a picture from a distance. This way they stay still eating the bread and I take a photo the bird finishes eating and gos away, somtimes even taking a peice of bread with them.

My neighbor has an amazing backyard, it's thanks to them that I find all these birds. It's also usually in their yard where I take all my pictures, as well. Currently, the most common are probably goldfinches, starlings, and grackles. I'll have to get out again sometime soon...

Hopefully the hummingbirds turn up sometime soon. We saw a few the one day, but none within the past few weeks. Last year's pictures turned out well, but I intend to get more, perhaps even better ones this year.

In Australia, it seems all the birds either live in the desert or the rainforest :/

They seem to hate suburbs.

That's a big bird.

I used to see a LOT of robins back in Washington State. I've also seen a Quail before just sitting around. Very funny noise. Oh, I've seen plenty of Cardinals over here and Blue Jays.
I see very many brown-ish birds as well.. It was raining really, really hard one day and these two birds were huddled together on a circular object that hung at the front of the house (which was in the porch, thankfully covered over by the roof). I think they were afraid of me and Kitsune as we walked past, but we felt sorry for them having to be stuck there.

I know this isnt in the backyard, but this should be for all birds. Soo, here's my story.

We have connected houses, and the one next to us has a little bit of elevation ( Since were on a hill ) and is lower. Well, their roof has an opening big enough for birds to go in. And there roof is atleast over 10-15ft long. And gues who comes and visits? Teh Birdehs! Every year they come and nest in there. But teh bad part is they go potty on the side of our porch xD

Well one day it was nightime and my dad looked outside our screen-door window. He said " Theres a baby bird outside, it must have fallen from the nest in the roof." I went over and was like :O And there was teh fluffeh little baby birdeh. My dad said not to try to help it, because the mama wouldnt pick it up. I was like " IT WONT PICK IT UP ANYWAY!" Yeah, :/ Then it hobbled over and jumped right off the side of the porch... I laughed so hard xD * Hop hop hop * * Jump * * Splat *
Well then I got a bag, and was going to put it on the porch. By the time I got out there........ It was gone.... And it was cornered by a bag of leaves outside, and a shovel. So.. where did it go? We never found it.... Lul
