They fledged!!! Very Happy

This one was on the ground and never made it into the trees. It was the first one out of the house onto the ground. The last sighting of this one I saw it going into the woods on the ground. Seems like a dangerous place to be. Hope it makes it through the night.

A parent.

This one was 2nd to fledge and made it safely into this cedar tree.
The third one also flew safely into this tree.

There are storms heading this way. Hope they survive the night. (worried)
Wonder if I can find them tomorrow?

They were calling to each other yesterday all day.

Today I am hearing blue jays. Not good as blue jays can attack and eat the babies.

I have some really bad news.
One of the babies was killed.

Here are the feathers I found. This was very near the place I mentioned where the one baby was on the ground as night was coming on. Being on the ground is very dangerous as you find out in Web Earth.

Remains:

This one was lost:

This is a picture of the nest with the lid off the house.

Awh, poor bird. At least the others are still okay, as far as we know, right?

I hope so. I heard them calling this morning, then I heard blue jays, then nothing the rest of the day. Then later tonight, we thought maybe we heard them in the distance. Can't be sure ...
