Not that I want to disclose my location, but the 5 fires near my home, including the largest: Shultz fire, are threatening my house and more importantly, the telephone poles that connect me to Flagstaff Internet service. xD
Arrow
The 5 fires today burned more then ever, fueled by the drying ponderosa, conifer, and oak forests. The largest was started by campers who forgot to put out their campfire. Many have been evacutated, but no houses have been threatened yet. Firefighters work around the clock to protect buildings like the ASPCA. A small building with only 70 animals, it laid near one of the larger fires and ash and smoke blew towards it, threatening the animals. Residents dropped off pets they could not take to shelters as they drove into town for a place to stay during evacuation. They were taken care of before being shipped to another animal shelter with 130 animals, which now brought the critter count to around 200 pets and livestock. The animals brought comfort and relief to owners who came to visit them while in temporary care. But the wildfire burned on, growing ever closer to the shelter. They were given one hour to evacuate, which caused stress for both human and 'tails, but they were safely dispatched to fair ground's barns.

The Shultz Fire has burned more then 8 miles of forest, and is still going. Please, make sure your camp fire is fully put out.

Yes, be responsible when putting out fires. If any pets or humans die in that fire, you would be the cause of it, and that's just horrible. You would also be the cause of destruction of several miles of nature. >:I The fact that a simple campfire can turn into a huge fire due to a few careless campers is terrible.

How does a large [and dangerous] fire cause the chances of Global Warming to get higher? >.>'

That reminds me... There was at thunderstorm in February at Vxsj here is Sweden.

There was 7 houses that lit fire, 9 people damaged and a few people died due to that the houses were hit by the lightings from the thunderstorm...

And Vxsj is on the otherside of the second great lake, Vttern if you want to know.

Did the thunderstorm do so much damage because of the structure of the building or was it the power or the storm?
