WEO Wildlife Photo Contest opening now.
Vote here for the best entries.
All entries are to be posted in a poll in this topic and voted on by other players. The poll will start when there are 2 entries.
Prizes:
1st place 2 weeks of advanced game.
2nd place 1 week of advanced game.
3rd place honorable mention.
Photographs are to be taken by yourself (by the person submitting the entry) of wildlife only. Animals must be wild, for example living and surviving in the wild. The biological definition of the word Animal refers to all members of the Kingdom Animalia, encompassing creatures ranging from insects to humans. Limit of 1 entry per user.
Contest closes on June 1st (extended to June 30th) which is the release date of a new version of weo which will have new animals available to play.

Hm. I'm guessing a picture of a pet snake wouldn't count..Even though reptiles aren't considered domesticated.

Watersnake. Not sure what type since there's four or five different species. Took this two or three weeks ago when I was walking up to the pond to fish. Was planning on catching it but the dogs scared it off.
Unfortunately, with all the guardian dogs, there aren't very many animals around any more.

I might enter this one. Didn't Raptor win 1st place with a dragonfly close up in the last one? That was eye catching.

It stands the poll will start when there are 2 entries. And since we're only allowed to post 1 per person, the poll will start when there's 2 persons in the contest? Then it won't make sense with the 3rd place...

As new entries show up, they will be added. Submitting early is an advantage.

Ok, so here is my photo!
I went to the Kruger National Park, South Africa for a vacation and I went on a safari. Luckily, my family and I encountered some lions near the road. I took a picture of the male. ^ ^
Here he is! Magnificent creature! ^ ^
His pride is off to the side, but I couldn't fit them in the picture. Good luck everyone who's entering! |

I think I can see a shadow of a lioness in the upper right corner above/ behind the bush.
Edit:
Does really have to be animals? Can you not take a picture of a natural fenomen or a natural ( I don't know the word for it) monument like a sunny mountain? My father just wants to know because he's curious.
And can I enter with the same photo as last year ( the one sent by email with a yawning tiger on it and that came on the 6th place)?
